A lot of people ask me what my creative identity "Fresh Israel" means. Here's my answer:

Fresh + Israel is simply a conjunction of two significant words that characterize my life.

"Fresh" relates to my constant quest for new artistic expression. I don't like to be stylistically stale or static. The word fresh gives one the sense of something new, reviving, invigorating: all adjectives that I hope speak of my art.

"Israel" relates to my personal spiritual beliefs as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Israel has been the chosen people of God since the time of Abraham. As a believer in God's promise of the Messiah (Jesus) through faith, the New Testament Scriptures teach that I am now considered a part of Israel in the spiritual sense. All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are made, by God, to be the spiritual children of God (John 1:12-13).

So there it is: artistic style and personal spirituality. If you ever get the chance to talk to me, I think you'd see my interest in both of those things shining rather clearly.
